Battle Ground Lake Event, Washington State

For those who plan to attend the "Gather Around the Campfire Stamp Camp" event at Battle Ground Lake State Park in Washington, this is just a note to inform you that I checked on both the "Marshall Lookout" (circa 2000) and "Battle Ground Lake #2" (circa 2002) boxes today. Both have received necessary maintanence and are currently active. The clues can be found on the LbNA website. (www.letterboxing.org) RaqsEnigma and I have previous obligations, so we won't be able to attend the event. But I wanted you to know that the first two boxes in the park are alive and well.

Someone who liked Tolkien, apparently.

[LbNA] Re: Battle Ground Lake Event, Washington State

That pretty much sums up my knowledge of Karl. I think this was his one and only contribution to the hobby. When LbNA converted over to become database-driven, there was no longer anyone to contribute this clue to. Rather than delete it or put it in the Letterboxing Basement, Wes Garrison and Jay Drew apparently decided to assign it to me, since it was a follow-up of one of my clues. Once I realized what had happened, I decided that I might as well adopt it officially.
